Hugh’s New Career
Farewell Hugh Gaskell-Taylor! Our only left-hander made his last appearance in the home victory over Harlequins before leaving to begin a career in the Royal Navy. Hugh has been a tremendous servant to the club since joining as a Bath University student, memorably organising the most recent BoA annual dinner. Good luck Hugh!

Hugh's Trophy
Congratulations to Hugh Gaskell-Taylor, winner of the Clubman of the Year award at Bradford’s annual dinner, which was held at the excellent Canal Tavern. It’s just a pity that Hugh, our only left-hander – who manages to combine goal-scoring (when occasionally on target) with organising splendid social events – is heading off soon to join the Navy. Good luck, Hugh. And thanks for your great contribution to the club.

Ian Departs
The club also bid farewell (for a while anyway) to another key member, Ian Chesworth, who has left the area following his latest posting in the RAF. Ian is a regular member of the RAF team, winners for the past five years of the Inter-Services title.
16.07.09Simon bows out
Simon Durrant announced his retirement before making one final appearance – so he reckons – in the friendly match at Weston. We’ll do our best to talk him back at some point in the future. But thanks, Simon, for your loyal service between the sticks for Bradford teams stretching back over three decades!

05.04.09B&W Handicap
Bradford went out of the B&W Handicap, losing a thriller 25-24 (we were given a 15-goal start) to Bristol Central III. Bristol included ex-GB NPD Nick Hume, whose winning goal 24 seconds from the end was his 12th of the match. More details on the match reports page.
25.03.09Stuart on a High
New member Stuart Moore, who began his polo career with the Calne club, is celebrating after climbing Kilimanjaro, the 5,900-metre highest mountain in Africa. He scored a goal on his return against Bristol Central.
